3. New Feature
Salesforce Sender Adapter — Event Subscription and Scheduled Data Retrieval
We have added the new SKYVVA Salesforce Sender Adapter, which connects Salesforce with SAP Integration Suite, allowing iFlows to receive Salesforce events and retrieve Salesforce records. Customers can process incoming events continuously or retrieve events and records according to a configured schedule.
In the sender adapter’s Processing tab, select the appropriate Processing Mode and Operation:
| Processing Mode | Operation | Behaviour | Uses Scheduler |
|---|---|---|---|
| Event Processing | Topic - Subscribe | Maintains a subscription and forwards incoming Salesforce events to the iFlow. | No |
| Event Processing | Topic - Polling | Receives events during a configured polling window each time the schedule runs. | Yes |
| Schedule Processing | Query or Query All | Executes the SOQL query configured on the selected SKYVVA interface and forwards the returned records to the iFlow. | Yes |
Event Processing
Under Event Processing Details, the Event Type field supports:
- Change Data Capture Events: Receive notifications of Salesforce record changes.
- Platform Events: Receive published business-event messages.
- PushTopic Events: Receive record-change notifications based on a PushTopic query.
- Generic Events: Receive custom notifications published to a streaming channel.
For Topic - Polling, configure Poll Wait Time (in ms) to control how long each scheduled polling cycle receives events. This is separate from the Scheduler settings, which determine when each cycle starts.
Schedule Processing
Select the Integration and Interface containing the SOQL query, then choose an Operation:
- Query: Retrieve records using the standard Salesforce query operation.
- Query All: Also include deleted and archived records where supported by Salesforce.
Use Processing Package Size → Custom Package Size to split retrieved records into smaller messages for the iFlow. Enter the number of records per message in Custom Package Size.
Payload and scheduling
Under Format, select Payload Format → Application/JSON or Application/XML. Enable Pretty Print when formatted output is required.
Configure the Scheduler for Topic - Polling and Schedule Processing. Scheduler settings are ignored when using Topic - Subscribe.
These options let customers choose continuous event processing or scheduled retrieval to match their integration requirements.
