2. Enhancement

Improved Connection Testing in SKYVVA

The customer’s SFTP server was available, and the configured username and password worked. However, the connection check reported, “Read timed out.” File processing did not start, and the job remained IN_PROGRESS. This made a working connection appear unavailable and left users unsure whether the problem was their server, login details, or SKYVVA’s connection check.

The preliminary check sent a simple test message and waited for a reply. The customer’s SFTP server expected a proper secure connection request instead, so it did not answer that message. The check interpreted the missing reply as a connection failure, even though the server was working correctly.

SKYVVA now provides a separate Test Connection button alongside Ping Connection when creating or editing:

The new button asks the connected Agent to test access using the adapter’s connection details and displays the returned result in SKYVVA. For file connections, this includes login and access to the configured folder.

Users can check access directly from the SKYVVA setup screen and obtain more useful information when investigating connection problems.

Upgrade Note

A compatible Agent is required. If it does not support Test Connection, SKYVVA displays an upgrade message. This button is not available for Local file adapters.

Use Certificate-Based Login for Agent Connections to Salesforce

In the previous version, the SKYVVA connection form supported OAuth2 Username-Password and OAuth2 Client-Credential authentication types. Users could not select a certificate-based Salesforce login already configured in the Agent.

Now we add OAuth2 JWT Bearer to the Authentication Type. This option allows the Agent to log in to Salesforce automatically using a certificate and an authorized Salesforce user. First, prepare the configuration in the Agent, then enter its name in the Salesforce JWT Configuration Name field in Agent Control Board. You must create a Salesforce JWT for the Agent Local Web application; open Manage Agent → Setup Agent as Client → New configuration.

The Agent can connect to Salesforce automatically without an interactive login or a Salesforce password stored in this connection. Its access follows the permissions of the configured Salesforce integration user.

This option is available for Agent, Agent SAP ERP, Agent SAP S/4HANA, and Agent SAP Business One connections.

Upgrade note

This SKYVVA version is compatible with Agent version 3.06.10. Make sure the named JWT configuration exists in the Agent. Changing Authentication Type clears the previous authentication values, so complete and test the Agent setup before switching an existing connection.

Inbound Query Editor supports Hierarchy Data from Database

Previously, the Inbound Query Editor did not support querying related database records together, such as an Account and its Contacts.

SKYVVA now supports hierarchical database queries, allowing users to preview and send each parent record together with its related child records.

This feature requires a compatible Agent version, starting from Agent 3.06.10.
